After Athens my next trip had been Florence, for the wedding of a friend of mine.
It has been weird coming back to Florence after so many years (who follows me since then?!)... many things are the same, but many others changed, like the busses and the new tramway... that's why I arrived SUPER late for the ceremony, I miscounted the time to reach the curch (I changed three busses and it took me around one hour and a half). Anyway, except of this, all the rest was GREAT. How touching is the moment when one of your friends gets married?! Every time is magical, even more when the church is the historical "Certosa di Firenze": a monastry since 1341, upon a hill, surrounded by tuscan nature, far away from the city, like all the "Certosa", in order to pray and focus in silence.
I brought you along the way with me, so first you see immages of Venice, cause it is where I landed with the plane, then some Florentine postcards that I shot during my three-busses-trip to the Certosa, then the wedding and to end the post I shared with you a video of a small present that three friends of mine and I (the ones that you see in the pics, plus one that was outside Italy) prepared for the couple.
Dopo Atene il mio viaggio è stato Firenze, per il matrimonio di una delle mie amiche.
E' stato strano tornare a Firenze dopo tanti anni (chi mi segue da allora?!)... molte cose sono le stesse, ma molte altre sono cambiate, come gli autobus e la nuova tramvia... ecco perché sono arrivata in SUPER ritardo per la cerimonia, ho sbagliato a calcolare il tempo per raggiungere la chiesa (ho cambiato tre bus e mi ci è voluta circa un'ora e mezza). Ad ogni modo, a parte questo, tutto il resto è stato FANTASTICO. Quanto è toccante il momento in cui uno dei tuoi amici si sposa?! Ogni volta è magico, ancor più quando la chiesa è la storica Certosa di Firenze: un monastero del 1341, sito su una collina, circondato dalla natura toscana, lontano dalla città, come tutte le Certose, al fine di pregare e concentrarsi in silenzio.
Vi ho portato lungo la strada con me, quindi per prima cosa vedrete le immagini di Venezia, perché è dove sono atterrata con l'aereo, poi alcune cartoline fiorentine che ho scattato durante il mio viaggio-di-tre-autobus alla Certosa, poi il matrimonio e alla fine del post ho condiviso con voi un video di un piccolo regalo che io e tre mie amiche (quelle che vedete nelle foto, più una che era fuori Italia) abbiamo preparato per la coppia.
