Even if I had already made a post with this same identical outfit here, I wanted to share these pics with you. I am again in the area of Kalogria, 45km from Patras, in previous posts I have focused on the amazing sandy beaches here and in the protected marsh area for bird watching in this one. This time I want to speak about the protected Strofylia forest, that characterizes it, we are talking about 20.000 acres (80kilometers square) of pines, it is one of the largest in the Mediterranean. The forest goes all the way down to the coast and it is the place where the turtles Careta Careta lay the eggs.
Αν και έχω ήδη κάνει ένα post με αυτό το outfit εδώ, ήθελα να μοιραστώ μαζί σας αυτές τις φωτογραφίες. Είμαι και πάλι στην περιοχή της Καλογρίας, 45χλμ από την Πάτρα, σε προηγούμενα post που επικεντρώθηκα στις καταπληκτικές αμμώδεις παραλίες εδώ και στην προστατευόμενη περιοχή των ελών για την παρακολούθηση των πουλιών σε αυτό το post. Αυτή τη φορά θέλω να μιλήσω για το προστατευόμενο δάσος της Στροφυλιάς, το οποίο χαρακτηρίζει την περιοχή, μιλάμε για 20.000 στρέμματα πεύκων, ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα στη Μεσόγειο. Το δάσος φτάνει μέχρι την ακτή και είναι το μέρος όπου οι χελώνες Careta Careta γεννούν τα αυγά τους!

In Patra we have a lot of nice spots, but I have to say that Vrachneika is in my heart. It is an area full of tavernas (typical restaurants) and coffee bar along the beach. It is definitely not the proper place to swim, but it is so special if you want to eat or have a drink. You are sitting exactly next to the sea. It is so relaxing with the small waves and the breeze that comes from the Patra's Gulf.
For the occasion I reused my wedding skirt combined with my brand new and so beloved Furla bag Metropolis Amoris S. I will link the unboxing video at the end of the post. I am obsessed by the small 3D hearts <3 on the mat leather.
A Patrasso abbiamo molti bei posti, ma devo dire che Vrachneika è nel mio cuore. È una zona piena di taverne (ristoranti tipici) e bar nel lungomare. Non è sicuramente il posto giusto per fare il bagno, ma è speciale per mangiare o bere qualcosa! Si è seduti esattamente di fianco al mare. È una zona rilassante con la brezza che viene dal Golfo di Patrasso.
Per l'occasione ho riutilizzato la mia gonna del matrimonio, abbinata alla mia nuovissima e amata borsa Furla, Metropolis Amoris S. Lascerò il link con il video dell'unboxing alla fine del post. Quanto amo i piccoli cuoricini in 3D <3 sulla pelle opaca.
Στην Πάτρα έχουμε πολλά ωραία σημεία, αλλά πρέπει να πω ότι τα Βραχνέικα είναι στην καρδιά μου. Είναι μια περιοχή γεμάτη ταβερνάκια και καφετέριες κατά μήκος της παραλίας. Δεν είναι σίγουρα το κατάλληλο μέρος για να κολυμπήσετε, αλλά είναι τόσο ξεχωριστό αν θέλετε να φάτε ή να πιείτε ένα ποτό. Κάθεστε ακριβώς δίπλα στη θάλασσα!Είναι τόσο χαλαρωτικό με τα μικρά κύματα και το αεράκι που έρχεται από τον πατραϊκό.
Για την περίσταση χρησιμοποίησα την φούστα του γάμου μου σε συνδυασμό με την καινούργια μου και τόσο αγαπημένη τσάντα Furla Metropolis Amoris S.Στο τέλος της σελίδας υπάρχει link με το unboxing της τσάντας. Εχω εμμονή με τις μικρές 3D καρδιές <3 στο ματ δέρμα.

Few weeks ago I have visited the enchanted island of Trizonia. It is only 50 kilometers far away from Patra. So it is perfect for a one day trip (or you can stay longer if you want to totally relax). It is the only inhabited island of the Corinthian Gulf. To get there you need to take a small a picturesque ferry boat for something like 10 minutes, that costs only 1 euro. I say that it is perfect to relax because the island is super small: 2,5 square kilometers with only 64 inhabitants, and no motor vehicles. Basically there is just:
-a small square with some tavernas (traditional restaurants), cafeterias and the main church
-a small port for yachts behind the square.
-a small community of few houses, an elementary school and another church not far from the square.
-three beaches: the biggest is with red sand and it is called Pounta, in the south east part of the island.
You can have a walk to reach all the areas (and beaches) of the island, or you can have traditional food in the tavernas (I seriously never ate so fresh fish anywhere else, I suggest the Cafe restaurant Porto Trizonia).
Immediately when I arrived, I had the feeling to be in the set of a sequel of Mamma Mia: no many people, picturesque square, good food, arriving in a small boat, only few hotels...
In few words I totally suggest to visit this island because it worth it from many points of view.
Poche settimane fa ho visitato l'isola incantata di Trizonia. Si trova a soli 50 chilometri da Patrasso. Quindi è perfetta per una gita di un giorno (o potete stare più a lungo se volete rilassarvi). È l'unica isola abitata del Golfo di Corinto. Per arrivarci è necessario prendere un piccolo e pittoresco traghetto per qualcosa come 10 minuti, che costa solo 1 euro. Dico che è perfetta per rilassarsi perché è davvero piccolina: 2,5 chilometri quadrati con solo 64 abitanti e nessun veicolo a motore. Fondamentalmente c'è solo:
-una piccola piazza con qualche taverna, caffetteria e la chiesa principale
-un piccolo porto per yacht dietro la piazza
-una piccola comunità di poche case, una scuola elementare e un'altra chiesa non distante dalla piazza
-tre spiagge: la più grande è di sabbia rossa e si chiama Pounta, nella parte sud-orientale dell'isola.
Quindi passeggiando si possono raggiungere fondamentalmente tutte le aree (e le spiagge) dell'isola, o si può gustare cibo tradizionale nelle taverne (non ho mai mangiato pesce così fresco da nessun'altra parte e consiglio il ristorante Cafe Porto Trizonia).
Immediatamente quando sono arrivata, ho avuto la sensazione di essere nel set di un sequel di Mamma Mia: poca gente, piazza pittoresca, buon cibo, arrivo in una piccola barca, pochi hotel...
In poche parole suggerisco assolutamente di visitare quest'isoletta perché ne vale la pena da molti punti di vista.
