This is seriously a post that means a lot to me. Sunday 21st October in Ypsila Alonia square in Patra (Greece) I took part in a walk to support the Research against the cancer led by Alma Zois Patra. The walk had the aim to inform, inspire and bring outside people that don't feel confident cause they are in therapy. The energy in the square was incredible. Finally people that are fighting for a good cause.
I experienced all of this in the first person with my father, yes, you heard well, breast cancer is not only for women, so everyone must be aware! October is the month for the prevention, and it is so important to attend this events, cause you will get informed, and many times they offer even free services.
I was there with my boyfriend (that was taking photos), a friend of mine: Kostantina, maybe you remember her from this post, and Christy, that was in the organization of all the event, a big BRAVO to her (the blue tee).
We just paid a symbolic amount to have the t-shirt and then we got balloons on the spot. The pink river that was passing through the streets of Patra has been really an emotional moment.
Questo è davvero un post che significa molto per me. Domenica 21 ottobre in piazza Ypsila Alonia, a Patrasso (Grecia), ho preso parte ad una passeggiata per supportare la Ricerca contro il cancro guidata da Alma Zois Patra. La passeggiata aveva lo scopo di informare, ispirare e far uscire di casa le persone che non si sentono sicure, perché in terapia. L'energia in piazza era incredibile. Finalmente qualcuno che combatte per una buona causa.
Ho vissuto tutto questo in prima persona con mio padre, sì, avete sentito bene, il cancro al seno non attacca solo le donne, quindi tutti devono essere informati! Ottobre è il mese della prevenzione ed è molto importante partecipare a questi eventi, perché si imparano un sacco di cose e molte volte vengono offerti anche servizi gratuiti.
Ero lì con il mio ragazzo (che scattava le foto), una mia amica: Kostantina, forse ve la ricordate da questo post, e Christy, che era nell'organizzazione di tutto l'evento, a cui faccio le congratulazioni (con la maglietta blu ).
Abbiamo dato una cifra simbolica per avere la maglietta e poi abbiamo avuto a disposizione i palloncini in loco. Il fiume rosa che ha attraversato le strade di Patrasso è stato davvero un momento emozionante.
Αυτό είναι ένα post που σημαίνει πολλά για μένα. Την κυριακή 21 Οκτωβρίου στην πλατεία Υψάλα Αλώνια στην Πάτρα, συμμετείχα σε έναν περίπατο που στηρίζει την Έρευνα κατά του καρκίνου, με επικεφαλής το Άλμα Ζωής Πάτρας. Ο περίπατος είχε σκοπό να ενημερώσει, να εμπνεύσει και να βγάλει έξω τους ανθρώπους που δεν αισθάνονται σίγουροι γιατί βρίσκονται στη θεραπεία. Η ενέργεια στην πλατεία ήταν απίστευτη. Τελικά κάποιοι άνθρωποι αγωνίζονται για καλό σκοπό.
Έζησα όλα αυτά με τον πατέρα μου, ναι, ακούσατε καλά, ο καρκίνος του μαστού δεν είναι μόνο για τις γυναίκες, οπότε όλοι πρέπει να γνωρίζουν! Ο Οκτώβριος είναι ο μήνας για την πρόληψη και είναι τόσο σημαντικό να παρακολουθείτε αυτά τα γεγονότα, γιατί θα ενημερωθείτε και πολλές φορές προσφέρουν ακόμη και δωρεάν υπηρεσίες.
Ήμουν εκεί με το αγόρι μου (που έβγαζε φωτογραφίες), μια φιλη μου: την Κωσταντίνα, ίσως την θυμάστε από αυτό το post και η Κρίστι, που ήταν στην οργάνωση της εκδήλωσης, ένα μεγάλο BRAVO γι 'αυτήν (με το μπλε μπλουζάκι ).
Απλά πληρώσαμε ένα συμβολικό ποσό για να έχουμε το μπλουζάκι και έπειτα πήραμε μπαλόνια επί τόπου. Ο ροζ ποταμός που περνούσε από τους δρόμους της Πάτρας ήταν πραγματικά μια συναισθηματική στιγμή.

Here is another post about our Warm-Fall-Greek situation. It is still hot, but you never know when it is becoming chiller, so this is what I am doing: I wear closed shoes, so that I don't give that summer vibe, then I choose very light items like t-shirts, dresses, shorts, and then I complete the look with a heavier cardigan.
I am not a big fan of patterns in general, above all floral patterns, I know that they are so trendy right now, but I think that they can turn your outfit into a cheap one, if you don't pay attention to the kind of floral that you are wearing. So if I really have to chose a pattern that would be polka dots and my absolut favourite: STRIPES! Stripes are never cheap!!!! For example this cardigan: it has not the best quality, but the stripes bring it to another level. Don't you think?!
Ecco un altro post sulla situazione greca di autunno super temperato. Fa ancora caldo, ma non sai mai quando possa scendere la temperatura, quindi questo è quello che sto facendo: indosso scarpe chiuse, così da non dare quell'idea troppo estiva, poi scelgo capi molto leggeri come magliette, abiti, pantaloncini e infine completo il look con un cardigan più pesante.
In generale non sono una grande fan delle fantasie, soprattutto dei motivi floreali, so che sono di moda in questo momento, ma penso che possano rendere il look dozzinale, se non si presta attenzione al tipo di fiori. Quindi, se devo davvero scegliere una fantasia, mi affido ai pois e alla mia preferita in assoluto: LE RIGHE! Le righe non sono mai kitch!!! Ad esempio questo cardigan: non è della miglior qualità, ma le righe lo rivalutano. Non credete?!

This is exactly what means Autumn in Greece, you add some layers, but you keep showing some skin. So my option is: cardigan and shorts or long trousers and t-shirts. This is the best period of the year, cause it is not cold yet, but you can stay outside without melting. I am so happy that, here in Greece, there is this type of weather, cause it permits some combos that I love, unexpected together: like long trousers+sandals or short sleeves sweaters (that is kind of what I am wearing today) or sleeveless trenches/cardigans, and in these days I am rocking these looks.
So a big plus for this outfit goes to the OVS grey sweater, that is so flattering and super soft, to the Vans, that are so good-looking and comfortable and to my hair... if you follow me on instagram you know that I made some experiments to get more juicy curls, and the winner was by far the Leave In Conditioner of the Bumble and Bumble.
Questo è esattamente ciò si chiama Autunno in Grecia, si aggiungono alcuni strati, ma si continua ad essere ancora abbastanza scoperti. Quindi le mie soluzioni sono: cardigan e pantaloncini o pantaloni lunghi e magliette. Questo è il periodo migliore dell'anno, perché non è ancora freddo, ma si può stare fuori senza morire di caldo. Sono così felice che qui in Grecia ci sia questo tipo di clima, perché permette alcune combinazioni che amo perchè inaspettate: come pantaloni lunghi + sandali o maglie pesanti a maniche corte (che è quello che indosso oggi) o trench/ cardigan senza maniche, e in questi giorni queste sono le mie opzioni preferite.
Per questo look, un grande più va al maglione grigio OVS, che non mostra troppo le curve ed é super morbido, alle Vans, che sono belle e comode e ai miei capelli... chi mi segue su Instagram, saprà che ho fatto alcuni esperimenti per ottenere riccioli più definiti, e il vincitore è stato di gran lunga il Leave In Conditioner di Bumble and Bumble.
Έτσι ένα μεγάλο συν για αυτό το look πηγαίνει στο γκρι πουλόβερ OVS που είναι τόσο κολακευτικό και εξαιρετικά μαλακό, στα Vans, που είναι τόσο καλά και άνετα και στα μαλλιά μου... αν με ακολουθήσετε στο instagram θα δείτε ότι έκανα μερικά πειράματα για να αποκτήσω ποιο πλούσιες μπούκλες, και ο νικητής ήταν μακράν το Leave In Conditioner του Bumble and Bumble.












 

Halloween is not only about creepy costumes, you can find also something funny to wear and rock it properly. This is the look for a pineapple costume, I suggest to accessorize it even more, with some pineapple sunnies, or a Malibù bottle (making the pina colada). In this video I kept it simple, so ANYONE could reproduce it. Basically you need a towel and a pair of green tights. From the colour of the towel you can change the fruit (red for a strawberry, orange for an orange, dark blue for a blackberry).

Ad Halloween non si usano più solo travestimenti per far paura, potete trovare anche qualcosa di divertente e scherzoso da indossare. Questo è il look per un costume da ananas, suggerisco di accessoriarlo ancora di più, per esempio con occhiali da sole ad ananas o una bottiglia di Malibù (per fare la pina colada). In questo video ho tenuto il look più semplice possibile, così che TUTTI possano riprodurlo. Fondamentalmente c'è bisogno di un asciugamano e un paio di collant verdi. Dal colore dell'asciugamano potete cambiare il frutto (rosso per una fragola, arancione per un'arancia, blu scuro per una mora).

I have already said a million times how much I get emotional when it comes for one of my friends' wedding. And if two years ago I had attended only three weddings in all my life, in this period I have a blast of feelings, due to my age... everyone is getting married now.
I know Gigia since high school and we never lost eachother. With her there are other two friends with which we make the perfect quartet, they are the faces that you are gonna see in the pictures.
She got married in a medieval castel close to our hometown: Castello di Zumelle. The civil rite was celebrated by the Mayor, at the foot of the castle, surrounded by nature. The aperitivo was in the inner yard of the castle (look at that great idea of the cocktails in a lamp), you could even explore one tower with the recreation of a medieval house. And the dinner\party was inside the castle.
As I told you many times, together with the money that you give to the couple, I always like to do something more personal, when it comes for one of my friends. This time we prepared an album with the pictures of the four of us during the ages. We chose the most hilarious ones with some amusing phrases written in many colours. The process was super funny as you can see.
My outfit was a red-tamer-mini-dress, and I had to wear this because nothing else would fit me 😞. It was fine till I realized that during weddings the red-dressed person is the secret lover, grrr. So this is a good tip for you to avoid bad impressions like me.
The last pic is about a game where the groom and the bride have one of each shoe in their hands and they answer the questions lifting up the correct shoe (example: who kissed first). And yes!!! She was wearing customized Converse!
Ho già detto un milione di volte quanto mi commuovo quando si parla del matrimonio di uno dei miei amici. E se due anni fa avevo partecipato solo a tre matrimoni nella mia vita, in questo periodo sono sottoposta ad una ventata di emozioni, a causa della mia età... molti miei coetanei si stanno sposando.
Conosco la Gigia sin dal liceo e non ci siamo mai perse di vista. Con lei ci sono altri due amici con cui formiamo il quartetto perfetto, sono le facce che vedrete nelle foto.
Il matrimonio è avvenuto in un castello medievale vicino alla nostra città natale: il castello di Zumelle. Il rito civile è stato celebrato dal sindaco, all'aperto, ai piedi del castello, circondati dalla natura. L'aperitivo era nel cortile interno (guardate che super idea i cocktail dentro le lampadine), si poteva anche esplorare la torre in cui era stata fatta una ricostruzione di una casa medievale. E la cena\party era dentro il castello.
Come vi ho detto altre volte, insieme ai soldi che vanno alla coppia, mi piace sempre fare qualcosa di più personale, quando si tratta di uno dei miei amici. Questa volta abbiamo realizzato un album con le foto di noi quattro negli anni. Abbiamo scelto quelle più esilaranti con alcune frasi buffe, scritte in diversi colori. Il processo è stato super divertente come potete vedere.
Indossavo un mini abito rosso da domatrice, non ho avuto molta scelta, perchè era l'unico che mi stava 😞. Tutto è andato bene fino a quando mi hanno detto che durante i matrimoni la persona in rosso è l'amante, aiuto. È un buon consiglio per evitare di brutte figure come me.
L'ultima immagine riguarda un gioco in cui lo sposo e la sposa hanno in mano le scarpe di entrambi e rispondono alle domande sollevando la scarpa corretta (esempio: chi ha baciato per primo). E sì!!! La scarpa da sposa erano delle Converse fatte per l'occasione!
