I still have a some pictures from my home town, Feltre. This is a Sanctuary on a rocky spur of the Mount Miesna. It has been built in 1096, can you believe it?! The style is romanic with byzantine influence, something rare for the area. For this reason and because of the breathtaking view of the city of Feltre and the mountains, the Sanctuary is the most chosen place for weddings in my home town.
The focal points of the visit are three. The first one is the long staircase from 1800, where you can spot the two statues of the Martyrs Vittore and Corona, let's remember that stairs are a symbol of the Ascension. The second is the cloister (1495), that is a yard surrounded by arches and columns, where we find frescos of the history of the Sanctuary and its connection with the city of Feltre. It is a place for meditation and prayer. And the third is the church itself (1096) full of frescos and sculptures. The most important part is the Maryrum, a stone canopy behind the altar, that contains the bones of the martyrs.
I had just been to OVS, so of course I was wearing one of the pieces that I got: this houndstooth mini dress with laced details. I think that this was the first fall look that I rocked this year. Yay!
Ho ancora alcune foto della mia città natale, Feltre. Questo è un Santuario che si trova su uno sperone roccioso del Monte Miesna. È stato costruito nel 1096, potete crederci?! Lo stile è romanico con influenze bizantine, qualcosa di veramente raro nella zona. Per questo motivo e per la vista mozzafiato che offre sulla città di Feltre e sulle montagne, il Santuario è il luogo preferito per i matrimoni del circondario.
I punti focali della visita sono tre. Il primo è la lunga scalinata del 1800, dove è possibile scorgere le due statue dei Martiri Vittore e Corona, ricordiamo che le scale sono un simbolo dell'Ascensione. Il secondo è il chiostro (1495) ad archi e colonne, dove troviamo affreschi della storia del Santuario e della sua connessione con la città di Feltre. Questo è un luogo per la meditazione e la preghiera. E il terzo è la chiesa stessa (1096) colma di affreschi e sculture. La parte più importante è il Maryrum, un baldacchino in pietra dietro l'altare che contiene le ossa dei martiri.
Ero appena stata all' OVS, quindi ovviamente indossavo uno dei pezzi che ho comprato: questo mini abito pied de poule con dettagli in pizzo. Penso che questo sia stato il primo look autunnale che ho messo quest'anno. Yeah!
