Today my title is an Italian expression that means that not everything that looks wonderful (like gold), it actually is so.
The site of the shooting is Balos, located in the occidental part of Crete. The place is like Heaven... BUT... there are many but. First of all to reach the place you have to drive 10 km in a really tragic and dangerous street (dirt road), approximately 1 hour. Than after that, you have to walk for two kilometers under the heat of the sun (45 degrees at least). Plus, the day that I went, was so windy that I couldn't even put the umbrella, and the sand was hitting my body like small shots. Thank God I had a sheet to cover myself from the sun and from the sand. But the place worth it!!!
My outfit is a petticoat that I turned into a dress, with a belt. I fixed on it also the flowers that I got in Matala...if you remember...


"Non è tutto oro quello che luccica". Oggi cominciamo con un detto.
Il posto in questione è Balos nella Creta occidentale. L'ambiente è davvero paradisiaco...MA...ci sono molti ma. Prima di tutto per raggiungerlo bisogna affrontare 10 km di strada sterrata e pericolosa, percorribili approssimativamente in un'ora. Dopodichè ci sono 2 km a piedi sotto il sole cocente (almeno 45 gradi). In più il giorno che sono andata era molto ventoso, talmente tanto che era impossibile piantare l'ombrellone, e la sabbia mi colpiva il corpo come una raffica di mitra. Grazie al cielo avevo un lenzuolo che mi ha protetta da sole e sabbia. Però per il posto ne è valsa la pena!!!
Il mio outfit è una sottoveste che ho trasformato in vestitino grazie ad una cintura. Ci ho fissato anche i fiorellini presi a Matala...se vi ricordate...
