Alleghe is one of the most enchanting villages in the Dolomites. It is located next to its own lake, that was generated by a landslide of the Mount Piz in 1771. 

Here you can come in the winter for skiing or in the summer for climbing, in both of the seasons the village is so picturesque! In the hot season, you can enjoy the walk around the emerald lake, admiring the the pointy houses with wooden details and flowers on the balconies. In the cold season the place turns into a winter wonderland. Anytime it's like enjoying a painting, this is due to the water of the lake and the tall mountains in the background, the Dolomites. Alleghe's tallest peak Monte Civetta is a really well known climbing spot cause it reaches the height of 3220m (10,560ft).

Alleghe is also really popular for ice skating, and till the 70s the lake itself was used as an outdoor ice ring. 

We have walked part of the path around the lake, and the atmosphere was incredible, you will see it from the pictures. Then we stopped in the main square for a piece of cake, a gelato and an espresso. If you can speak Italian definitely enter the book shop at the other side of the square and ask for the book "I misteri di Alleghe", the mysteries of Alleghe. Infact from 1933 till 1958 strange things happened in this little place in the mountains. This book is the report of a journalist that dug into four murders linked with the Hotel Centrale, back in those days .

Alleghe è uno dei comuni più incantevoli delle Dolomiti. Si trova vicino al proprio lago, che è stato generato da una frana del Monte Piz nel 1771.

In inverno si scia e in estate si può fare arrampicata, in entrambe le stagioni vi godrete questo paese così pittoresco! Nella stagione calda, si può passeggiare intorno al lago colore smeraldo, ammirando le case a punta con dettagli in legno e i balconi fioriti. Nella stagione fredda il posto si trasforma in un bianco paese delle meraviglie. Ogni volta è come godersi un dipinto il che è dovuto all'acqua del lago e alle alte montagne sullo sfondo, le Dolomiti. La vetta più alta di Alleghe è il Monte Civetta, punto di arrampicata molto conosciuto, visto che raggiunge i 3220 m di altezza.

Alleghe è anche molto popolare per il pattinaggio sul ghiaccio, e fino agli anni '70 il lago stesso era usato come palaghiaccio all'aperto.

Noi abbiamo percorso parte del sentiero intorno al lago, e l'atmosfera è stata incredibile, lo vedrete dalle foto, e poi ci siamo fermati nella piazza principale per un pezzo di torta, un caffè e un gelato. Vi consiglio di entrare nella libreria dall'altra parte della piazza e chiedere il libro "I misteri di Alleghe". Infatti dal 1933 al 1958 accaddero cose strane in questo piccolo posto in montagna. Questo libro è il resoconto di un giornalista che ha scavato per portare alla luce quattro omicidi commessi allora all'Hotel Centrale.

Το Alleghe είναι ένα από τα πιο μαγευτικά χωριά στους Δολομίτες. Βρίσκεται δίπλα στη λίμνη που δημιουργήθηκε από την κατολίσθηση του βουνού Piz το 1771.

Εδώ μπορείτε να έρθετε το χειμώνα για σκι ή το καλοκαίρι για αναρρίχηση, και στις δύο εποχές το χωριό είναι τόσο γραφικό! Στη ζεστή εποχή, μπορείτε να απολαύσετε τον περίπατο γύρω από την καταπράσινη λίμνη, θαυμάζοντας τα γραφικά σπίτια με ξύλινες λεπτομέρειες και λουλούδια στα μπαλκόνια. Κατά την κρύα εποχή, ο τόπος μετατρέπεται σε λευκό χειμωνιάτικο τοπίο. Οποτεδήποτε είναι σαν να απολαμβάνετε μια ζωγραφιά, αυτό οφείλεται στο νερό της λίμνης και στα ψηλά βουνά στο βάθος, οι Δολομίτες. Η ψηλότερη κορυφή του Alleghe είναι το Monte Civetta, ένα πολύ γνωστό σημείο αναρρίχησης, που φτάνει το ύψος των 3220μ.

Το Alleghe είναι επίσης πολύ δημοφιλές για πατινάζ στον πάγο και μέχρι την δεκαετία του '70 η ίδια η λίμνη χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως παγοδρόμιο.

Εμείς έχουμε περπατήσει μέρος του μονοπατιού γύρω από τη λίμνη και η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν απίστευτη, θα το δείτε από τις εικόνες και στη συνέχεια σταματήσαμε στην κεντρική πλατεία για ένα κομμάτι κέικ, ένα παγωτό και ένα εσπρέσο. Αν μπορείτε να μιλήσετε ιταλικά, μπείτε στο βιβλιοπωλείο στην άλλη πλευρά της πλατείας και ζητήστε το βιβλίο "I misteri di Alleghe", τα μυστήρια του Alleghe. Από το 1933 μέχρι το 1958 συνέβησαν παράξενα πράγματα σε αυτό το μικρό χωριο στα βουνά. Αυτό το βιβλίο είναι η αναφορά ενός δημοσιογράφου που ερευνησε τέσσερις δολοφονίες εκείνη την εποχή στο Hotel Centrale
