Here we are with a fascinating post about the mountains close to my home town. When I come back home, except visiting friends and relatives, I always try to make a special excursion. Last time it was the magic village of Alleghe with its lake (this post). This time it's the river Art and its ravine in the village of Sant'Antonio in Tortal. I don't even know if I suggest you to go during the winter as I did... because it is enchanting, but also dangerous. We could hear ice-stalactites smashing on the floor inside the canyon, that's why we didn't get in, we just contemplated the majestic view from the outside. Anyway, I know that you can also go inside the canyon, and if you feel to scared to do it by yourself, there is the possibility to get a guided tour. In any case, through the path, there are some signs that explain plants, animals and how this phenomenon of the ravine developed (It may be by a landslide that clogged the original path of the river ). You must leave the car in the village and walk 2km, some points are really steep, so wear comfortable shoes.
My outfit: I was wearing two coats and a giant scarf, because it was very cold. The twist was my hair in a French braid.

What a better post to close the year?! Snow snow and again snow. It is kind of strange for many of you, I am sure, but in Greece they actually have places where it snows! Kalavrita is one of the closest place to Patra like these ones. I definitely recommend you to go, it is soooooo charming! You can reach it by car, and in this case I suggest you to stop along the way at the monastery of Mega Spileo and the village of Zachlorou, I made an entire post HERE. Or you can go by a "rack-train" from the station of Diakopto, in this case it will be harder to stop, but you will see incredible naturalistic scenaries. Kalavrita is a small cute village with a lot of history! Above all it is connected to the second World War, cause here, almost everyone was slaughtered, but I will make a specific post about it another time. Because I had seen the village of Kalavrita so many times, we decided to go to the ski spot, higher in the mountains. And guess what?! There was snow, YASS! The ski facilities where closed, cause there wasn't enough to ski, but we had an hot chocolate in the giant chalet, and we had a great time in the snow. You can also get a chair lift to a second chalet a little bit higher, but it costs 10 euros per person, so we didn't do it.
I had all my snow-clothes at home in Italy, so I just layered with chunky socks, warm beanie, big scarf, heavy jacket and gloves.
Soon I will post another article about where we went next, so you know what you can visit and where you can eat.
Quale post migliore per chiudere l'annata?! Neve, neve e ancora neve.

First of all Merry Christmas.
The 22nd of December the Ktima Agouridi organized a Christmas Gala for Charity (for Agenito Paidi). There were many reasons to go:
- first, because the place is unbelievable! The view from here is THE BEST of Patra. It is not a coincidence that the village, where it belongs, is called Thea (view). And the architectural taste of the place is so sofisticated! I had the pleasure to speak to the Owner: Marios Agouridis and he told me that almost all the pieces are designed by him.
- second, my friend Dimitra (do you remember her performances from The Voice of Greece?! Click HERE) was the singer for the night. I was so curious, cause, this time, her repertoire was English and Greek as well! If you follow me on instagram, you already know that she did great!
- third, DRUM ROLL... this will be my wedding venue. If you remember, last April I got my proposal and next May I will get married. Everytime that I come here to adjust more details I am more and more happy to have chosen this place.
- fourth... they have the biggest Christmas tree that I have ever see indoors... LOL I loved it.
The party was great, there wasn't only live music (with a Sax and a grand piano), but also two DJs and a delicious buffet. I think you will understand what I am talking about, when you will see the strawberry station🍓🍓🍓
And around 01.00 there was even a mini fireworks show.
My look was total black with a pop of sequins in the lower part of my dress and in the bag and a bright orange jacket.
